I offer Electrical Services that are greener for the environment and less of a strain on your wallet
Services that I offer include:
LED Lighting.
LED Colour.
LED Light Distribution.
Fluorescent Lighting
Heating Control.
Money down the drain and wasting energy is the cost of not to “go green”. Consumption of resources is still not to the levels that are considered for a sustainable future. By going greener, you can contribute to the road of a sustainable future for the future generations of society.
The 2 usual suspects for consuming the most power in the home are the heating and the lighting.
Although I am not offering the solar services yet to cater to offset the carbon footprint of your home, you can still contribute by consuming a smaller amount of power from lighting technology that is readily available of today.
LED Lighting.
Power and controllability Case Study
I switched on 100W candescent light as a test, and I had a string of LEDs that were consuming a third of the power to the light with a significant increase of light power. These strings of LEDs I make them with PWM controllability (these specific ones I programmed through a microprocessor which consumed 15 mA) I could dim them down in steps of 1/100 stages at a time (but I chose to programme them to 1/20 stage at a time to increase the speed to dim) The transformer was a switched transformer so that it is consuming very little above that what is required. When I dimmed it down to the level of light what the 100W light was giving out, the power reduction was significantly reduced.
Here is an section of strip light LED lighting. It is going in a 10m installation and this will give approximately 30,000 lumen using a maximum 100W of electrical power where a traditional 100W bulb will give you around 1100 Lumen. These strip lights will also last on average 50,000 hours (20 years for 8 hours a day). No more changing light bulbs. And the dimming function will considerably reduce those electricity bills whilst having the flexibility of the light when you need it.

LED Colour.
The advantage of LED lighting that you get a choice of colour of white light or indeed real colours should it be your preference. I can pre-programme levels for scenes or you can opt for a complete control over the entire range.
LED Light Distribution.
Because strip LED ligthing is so small and descrete, you can distribute the lighting around the room so you can opt for intense light in one section of a room with a significant reduction elsewhere. Ideal for a dedicated reading spot in a room, but not all of the time.
Due to the size of the LEDs, they have smaller quantity of light consuming small quantity of power, but better distribution options. You can choose where you want the light and where you don’t and at a level that you want.
Fluorescent Lighting.
Although not as fashionable as LED, HF dimmable flourescent lighting is a great deal more appealing than historic flourescents have ever been. I just wish that the light fittings aesthetics could be looked at by the relevant people. Without it, the technology doesnt stand a hope of being recognised as a potential alternative other than being relegated to just the garage.
Heating Controls.
Controlling the heating may seem like an old fashioned idea, but Im not talking about timed, I’m talking about closing the windows when the heating is on, turning the heating on when certain areas are cold and ventilation when the heating is not on or ensuring that ventilation comes on when its too hot etc. Too many things in the home are working not for the benefit as a whole, individual systems are purely catering for themselves. By combining the home automation with the heating, a far more efficient mechanism can be obtained.
